Just off a downtown thoroughfare we came upon this quiet courtyard adjacent to a coffee shop and an apartment building. As we sat and sipped our coffee, this corner was a pleasant break from the busy street just metres away. The city offers many spaces like this, on foot and with a camera at the ready, just waiting to be discovered.

Lovely, well composed, very restful picture; once again I must go again my religion and say I prefer the colour version! 🙂

If you’re new to black and white and don’t already know about it, I urge you to have a look at Silver Efex Pro 2, which is part of a plug in suite sold by Google – another company has just bought it from Google – Efex is a worldwide favourite.

Thank you. I’ve been using Tonality Pro for MacPhun, haven’t tried Efex Pro 2.

Terrific combination of man-made and natural, Belinda. I love both but I am partial to the monochrome.

It must not get a lot of direct sunlight, having buildings on three sides. The moss between the tiles tells the tale. (Oh my, that was alliteration and then some) 😉

A good tranquil find from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets. Both color and monochrome photos are great!
