CURE FOR THE WINTERTIME BLUES (TWO PHOTOGRAPHS)

A perfect summer day; sunny and green and the dragonflies were there for the taking. I took these handheld with my Nikon 70-200mm lens (I’m not one for carrying multiple lenses when I’m out for the day). I love this lens for nature photography like this. It’s a great all around lens.

  2. Beautiful detail and great memories of summer. I assume they live only one season.

  4. The green in the background of the second shot is marvelous, Belinda. Green is my favorite color. 😉 (No surprise there.)
The thought occurred to me today that spring is only 3 months away… Winter’ll be gone in a snap! 😉

  8. I have nearly the same lens, a Nikkor 55-200 VR, and feel the same way about it. If I could have only one lens, this would probably be it. Great bright and crisp optics, too.
    Awesome dragonfly!

  9. Great captures, Belinda! Love how he is hanging on to the blade of grass in the first one and the framing the grass adds to the image.
