BELINDA GROVER PHOTOGRAPHY

STOPS ALONG THE WAY

LAST LOOK

It’s been a few months since we last saw these colourful migrants.  I took this photo in October and by November this wood duck and his mates had flown south.  From time to time I see them featured on other photographers’ blogs in their winter digs. I look forward to their return before too long.

  2. Gorgeous shot. I love my Mandarins and Wood ducks. They are my favorite breeds of the perching and dabbling ducks.

  3. One of America’s most elegant birds, what a treat to have them nearby, even if it is only seasonal. Fantastic photo, Belinda, you captured every color of this magnificent creature.

  5. You say goodbye, I say hello … hello HELLO! *singing Beatles* Can’t wait to Woodie watch again! They’re showing up bit by bit down here in the Texas Gulf Coast. I love their calls and whistles out by the creek every winter morning.

    You take beautiful portraits, Belinda.

  6. They have one of the most colourful patterns of all the ducks. Sadly, we rarely get to see them here on the west coast. We see them occasionally, but not often.
