I haven’t done much people photography or taken many city scenes, things I want to do more of when the weather turns more agreeable. I do love nature photography but the urban landscape is very interesting as well. This photo was taken from across the street, with a wide angle lens, If these two gentlemen had seen me I might have smiled and sought their compliance, as it happened they were too deep in conversation to glance in my direction.

I wonder what they’re talking about.

Looks a bit like President Obama on the left! 🙂
He is a decent, caring man!

Nicely done. I don’t do much with people either. Years ago I did and it stopped being fun and pretty much ruined photography for me. Times change and it becomes fun again. Enjoy.

Thanks Ted. With all the outdoor events around the corner I should have plenty of opportunity to blend in to the crowd, individuals can get testy when they have their photos taken.

That is when I would prefer to shoot too. Just had that discussion with someone. We both agree it’s now become a problem. Charleston SC is the #1 tourist city. Events have become so crowded it’s hard to attend any no less photograph. Guess we will see what this spring brings. We skipped the biggest wildlife expo in the east this weekend because of crowds.

A lot of events here do not allow you to use a detachable lens, we’ve dropped our attendance at the premier music festival in town as a result.

Interesting but I do love your natural history photos. Prefer the black and white version

Thank you. With spring approaching I plan to do a good deal of both.

It is interesting that what – I presume – is a reflection from the opposite side of the street shows up more clearly in the black and white version of the photograph.

Thank you for your comment. There is a heightened sharpness that comes with B/W.
