CHICKADEES (TWO PHOTOGRAPHS)

The chickadees seem to have come through the long winter in fine form. The trails are scattered with seeds that walkers provide as they visit the park, so the few birds that we’ve come across are looking pretty well fed. We’ve seen more squirrels than birds so far but as the warm weather returns I’m sure that will balance out.

  2. Who doesn’t like chickadees? – but a challenge to capture them sitting still is a challenge alright!

  4. They are just the cutest little birds. Always seem to be happy and chattering sweetly to each other.

  5. So cute! I love their little voices too. We have related birds here (marsh tit and willow tit) but both are quite rare these days, sadly.

  8. Belinda here in Ireland and the UK we have a very similar bird. The three most common one’s are the Great Tit, Coal Tit and the Blue Tit. Check them out for there’s not a big difference.

    Take care.
