This little bird was a pleasure to see after a hot long walk without too much to show for it. The best part was that it wasn’t ducking behind leaves and branches allowing me these clear shots. I believe it’s a warbler but I’d appreciate a positive ID.

So cute that you captured it strutting along the branch

I find baby birds generally seem less shy and fearsome. It’s a bit counter intuitive. You’d think their instinct would be to hide and flee. Oddly, more than once I’ve had young fledglings get right in front of me and do the “feed me” dance.
It appears any living, moving thing is a parent to some birds!

I guess their curiosity and appetite trumps any fear.

They can be tricky to identify, especially with no adult in sight.

Great shots and sweet little bird, Belinda. Love the first especially with his foot action. 🙂

Beautiful! 🙂 It does have a rather “young” look, which could explain its preference not to flee.

Can’t help with identity. A clue would be to research birds that can River Dance, perhaps?

Tough call on young birds like this, but my impression is juvy yellow-rumped warbler. Where was this taken?

Looks like it’s going to have some yellow on its breast. I don’t know what it is, but I would say your guess is pretty good. Very darling little bird.

Although I cannot help you, I do enjoy the ‘action’ shot followed by the one ‘at rest’. It looks a lovely little bird with such delicate colouring.
