STOPS ALONG THE WAY

WISHING YOU WERE HERE (TWO PHOTOGRAPHS)

This scene in Quebec, reminded me of black and white postcards I’ve seen in shops selling old prints. The stillness of the lake, the empty chairs waiting for their occupants to arrive, sit a while or take out the canoe. Ah, Summertime!

  1. Idyllic, so long as you brought your bugspray! 😉

  2. Thank you for the transposing the color photo into monochrome. A lot of nostalgia in the latter.

  5. Looks like a quiet, peaceful place to paddle around. I think I like the b/w even better than the colour, but both make the scene look soothing for the soul.

  7. You know I love my water, so I wish I was there! 🙂 How interesting to change a photo to B&W and it could pass as being from the past as in a post card you mentioned. It works perfectly!

  8. Whenever I see the words Wish(ing) you were here I automatically think of Pink Floyd. I can’t help it. Lovely photos.
