November’s here, a dark and brooding month. The waterways are still open but who knows for how much longer. This duck was enjoying a quiet paddle but kept a wary eye on me as I took this photo.

Not my favorite month either, although the oaks and beeches are really pretty right now. It is later when the color fades to gray and brown that really gets to me. Even though cold, at least snow brightens things up.

The wind today is having a field day with the remaining leaves although there are still some left to brighten things up. Have to agree about the snow, usually followed by some welcome sunshine.
