    Such a delicate flower, folding and hiding its little face in the dark of night.
    Turning to follow the bright sun of the day.
    Soft features and soft colors.
    But try to mow it, it may as well be anchor chains!

    Ah yes, bindweed – it is rather tenacious, isn’t it! We have it in the UK too. It’s a native species here, I believe, but I can imagine how hard it is to eradicate as an introduced one in North America.

    Despite its unwelcome appearance in gardens, it is a pretty flower which you have portrayed beautifully. I also like the leaf in sharp focus on the right.
