STOPS ALONG THE WAY

RED SQUIRREL

Red SquirrelIt’s nearly fall and time to get busy collecting food for the approaching winter. This squirrel was taking time out for a quick snack. Under the feeder the ground is littered with spent sunflower seeds. Occasionally though an intact seed falls to the ground for the lucky few.

Nice capture of this cute little guy. Better to get them from the ground than destroy your feeder!

Such a cute shot! I wonder how easily they find tiny seeds on the ground.

I can imagine this little opportunist found all kinds of goodies. Great photo, Belinda. I love the individual hairs on the tip of his or her tail.

Nice backlight, look at the fuzzy tail! (S)he’s a cutie, and, my, that is a lot of spent seed. I hope you own some stock in sunflower seeds! 😉

He must have thought he’d died and gone to heaven with all these sunflower seeds available for him.

I enjoy the light catching its tail and cannot help commenting on the amazing number of spent sunflower seeds on the ground!
