It’s nearly fall and time to get busy collecting food for the approaching winter. This squirrel was taking time out for a quick snack. Under the feeder the ground is littered with spent sunflower seeds. Occasionally though an intact seed falls to the ground for the lucky few.

Thanks Ellen. I’ve never seen squirrels on the feeder, although who knows what they get up to when there are no people around😏.

I finally put one up earlier this summer hoping to attract some small birds into our yard. The squirrels, which previously showed no interest in our yard, destroyed it in less than two days!

The sun caught its tail like a banner😊. The feeder is well stocked and draws many birds in this wildlife garden.
