AMERICAN WIGEON November 11, 2019 by belindagroverphotography 13 Comments Every year in late October, several pairs of American Wigeons stop here on their migration south. You can almost tell the date by these birds. I took quite a few photographs of them and will feature more over the coming months. Like this:Like Loading...

They always arrive when the leaves are at their peak, a perfect combination! Thanks, Donna!

The fall colours were spectacular this year and so were the reflections. Thank you, Eliza!

They’re one of those “special” ducks, not quite as common and always a joy to behold. Thanks.

Just getting to the south now. Those are better shots than I’ve been getting.

We only see them in the fall, they must breed further North. Enjoy them while they’re in your neck of the woods.
