The size of the tree frog perched in a dense clump of flowers and the light proved quite the challenge. I have only ever seen a couple of tree frogs before and I couldn’t walk away without a photo. I waited, changed my position and waited some more but he never turned my way. In the end though, I was pretty happy with the shot I got.

I had to search for the frog for several seconds, he is that well camouflaged. Nice photo, Belinda.

No wonder you’ve only seen a couple, well spotted and a good shot worth waiting for.

Tree frogs always put a smile on my face, and I’m delighted when I find a new one. It’s really fascinating how they are able to climb to such apparently precarious perches!

Thanks, Ellen! It would have been interesting to see its reaction if an insect had flown by.

I didn’t think they lived up there. They have been known to stay in the same position for a full day 😂😂.

Good eye Belinda, he is very well camouflaged. I wonder how many I miss in my garden hidden in plain sight!

It seems as if he is hiding, I had to look twice to see the little frog. They are very cute and not always easy to photograph. You captured him well, Belinda!

I kept losing sight of him as I tried to focus the camera, all that green on green! Thank you, Greta.

What a happy find! I once found a tree frog inside a teapot on the kitchen windowsill – I always check inside them now before using them and, of course, I have not found another one.
