STOPS ALONG THE WAY

FEMALE HOUSE SPARROW

House sparrows are common in our cities and attractive little birds. Local nesting spots are in the eaves of an office building and in the crevice of a house in the neighbourhood. I check these spots out every spring.

  4. They are certainly well-adapted to humans. I agree with Anne, very cheeky and as you pointed out, incessantly noisy!

  5. It’s sad, I rarely see them in my region. Their numbers have significantly decreased over the past decade.

  7. These sparrows are denizens of shopping mall car parks here. They are cheeky, cheerful birds – great opportunists too.
