The Japanese Beetle had a tenuous grip on the dahlia but managed to right itself. They are attractive beetles but are destructive and feed on a large variety of plants. No friend to gardeners!
Nice composition from the back of the flower, Belinda! Interestingly, these Japanese beetles are another thing we haven’t seen much of this summer. Not that I miss them, but they are part of the order of things.
