I was tempted to crop a bit closer to show off the swallow’s expression but I wanted to highlight the spring leaves as well.

Beautiful capture of a sitting swallow and I agree, the composition is just right with the branches and leaf buds.

With the leaves starting to open, it gives us a sense of the timing and the feel of the fresh spring air. And of course the swallow brought it all.

    Thanks, Belinda. I also read the comments about the swallow looking like he was angry. I think that’s because of the way the blue and white lines have that turned down frown-like shape. But I’m sure he’s a happy bird.

LOVEly! I spotted my first two tree swallows yesterday. I love to watch them soar and dive. I hope they choose to nest near by. ❤
