These items looked like they had been placed with care although they were left there for garbage pick up.A well used sofa, a child’s toy even the plant growing out of the concrete made for a homey scene despite its location.
This practice of placing objects on a pavement for garbage pick-up is alien to me. This might be because there are so many people here who live below the bread-line that homes are quickly found for unwanted anything to do with houses. I volunteer at a charity shop where such items are sold for a very small amount of money so that people in need can afford furniture, clothes and household items. That said, I really enjoy the composition of this photograph: it looks as though John (above) has just left to make himself some coffee 🙂
We have a lot of similar places here too but considerable waste as well. Often people find it easier to just leave “things” curb side 😏.
It did look like some care was taken here. Thank you, Anne.

That couch looks pretty good to me! We were just talking about couches and moving about an hour ago 🙂

This is a wonderful photo and thought on the image! I would sit right down on that couch and do some people-watching, Belinda. ❤️
