I love the little chickadees and their call, too. I always wonder how they make through the winter; I used to see them in NWT in deepest winter. Great photo, Belinda.

I didn’t realize they were in the NWT too and in winter! Very hardy little birds. Glad you enjoyed the photo 😊

I couldn’t understand how these little birds could get through -40 and lower every day. Apparently they build winter borrows and also save food for the winter. They definitely are hardy (and so cute, too).

They’re such friendly birds. We love to see them around. We have the chestnut-backed chickadee and I think yours is the black-capped chickadee.
