I saw flocks of house sparrows mixed with Cape sparrows in the Karoo National Park – lovely birds to observe.

That’s very true. Such plain little birds, but I always strongly associate their chirping with spring. They’re usually the first ones we hear once winter has passed. Great photo. 😊
