I wish it was warm enough for butterflies. It’ll be a while yet but in the meantime here’s one from last year. It was still beautiful despite the wear and tear on its wings.

Sweet pearl crescent! I’m looking forward to seeing more butterflies, too. I’ve seen two so far, a mourning cloak (they overwinter as adults) and yesterday, a cabbage white. I was told by my DIL that today she was buzzed by a hummingbird right here in town, which is quite exciting!

I sense an increasing longing for those warmer days of summer. Whilst still enjoying warm to hot days, our nights are getting noticeably cooler – as are the early mornings 🙂
