The elusive Black Duck! Well, clearly out there by your shot, but beyond one sighting many years ago I would swear they are just a myth ha. Thanks for keeping my hopes up!

So nice that you have all these birds that are different from ours. This is as close as I’ll get to seeing them. I’m wondering about the white rump feathers though. Maybe he had some fun with a mallard. I don’t think black ducks are supposed to have those. Everything else fits though.

I think I saw one of these for the first time in FL in September. I still need to get that on ID’d for sure. How cool you got a great look at this one.
