I saw this plant along a very dark section in the woods . It had been well gone over by insects but I thought the pattern that was left looked like lace. I increased the ISO and took a lot of photos. Not as sharp as I’d like but you work with what you’ve got.

I have the hardest time photographing leaves as they are in constant motion. If one in a hundred comes out sharp Iโm lucky. How do you do it?

Well, the wind wasnโt an issue here ๐. A higher ISO will give you a higher shutter spend to help stop motion.

Well, someone has been very thorough de-fleshing those bones! Good eye, Belinda. ๐

Very interesting and not something I probably would have noticed if there had been an opportunity of something like that near me.

Thank you, this wooded area has a lot to offer. When not looking for birds, I scan the forest floor ๐

What an interesting subject to photograph! Most of us would probably have passed it by – yet you have seen the beauty of it ๐

Funny lacework. Can it also be the result of freezing in winter?

It still has a lot of colour in it so I think it did grow this spring.

I think the detail is pretty wonderful Belinda, even down to the tiny web strand. ๐ A beautiful photo. It does look like lace but must be rather delicious, too!
