Been a ‘super steamy’ summer so far in the Lowcountry. This time of year we simmer, humidity is always bad. However, I have been watching the current temperature compared to our averages. Yesterday we were 8 degrees over, and have been almost 6 degrees every day. 😳
At 6:15 am today it was 80 f degrees, humidity 94%, our heat Ned’s will 109 later 😵💫. I take a camera outside and it fogs immediately, takes forever to go away. No photos now unless I leave gear out all night.
Lovely portrait, Belinda. A very handsome flower that does reflect our temps lately. It seems like one heatwave rolls in right after another. Makes me really appreciate the breaks in between!
We had a big thunder storm with rain that woke me up in the wee hours of the morning. The front blossom almost looks 3D. It’s lovely. I hope it cools off for you soon.
It doesn’t sound like you’re getting much sun. We’re getting very little rain but we’re supposed to get a few cooler days beginning tomorrow. They were pretty flowers, thanks 😊
Beautiful, Belinda!! Oddly, this summer’s temps have been below normal to some degree compared to the last few years. The low 100s for days at a time at this time of year is odd…. 😮🧐

I hope to get out on the weekend when it’s cooler. We haven’t been out with our cameras in a while:

That’s a great photo and certainly very representative of the sweltering heat you’ve had! Yes, you’ve had a lot of heat warnings. Crazy.

They look so pretty, Belinda. These posts with just one or two flowers you’ve been posting show that it doesn’t take a big bouquet to look impressive.
