On a walk in a park we go to often we came across several wild turkey hens and their youngsters. I think this mother hen needed a bit of time on her own. but they always tend to look frazzled 😊
Ironically looked out my window today and two hens were wandering around the yard – not sure what the cause is, but this is the first year in a long time there were no broods with them. You are right, they often look frazzled ha.
She does look a bit worried or troubled in that image. Probably worried about her chicks or if you’ll get her best side? She’s lovely! I love the eye highlight. I wonder if I could look close enough if I would be able to see your reflection in her eye? 😊

Maybe they were being minded by another hen. We saw a lot of chicks the day I took this.

It didn’t offer you a “swig” from its “bottle”? How rude. Glad those college days are far, far behind me! 🫣🤭😏🤓

They were everywhere. I was pleased to get this as they tend to remain in the shade in this park.

Definitely frazzled, lol! This shot well illustrates her dinosaur heritage. 🙂
