    The balled seed heads remind me of ladies’ hairdos held up with combs of the early 1900s.

    I had one appear in my garden but even though I left it to go to seed, no more appeared the following season. Such are the vagaries of gardening through random bird or wind contributions. Whatever your circumstances, I hope all will go well with you.
