STOPS ALONG THE WAY

SOUTHWARD BOUND

I saw this white-throated sparrow last October. Although many remain in North America during the winter, given our cold climate, I believe this one was just passing through on its way south. There was plenty for it to eat on this warm fall day.

Sweet take, Belinda! I love seeing all the WTSs passing through right now, the rush of their wings when they startle, and their lovely high-pitched, ‘Oh, Canada, Canada, Canada!’ 🙂

They are frequent companions at our MN cabin, and I’ve missed their calls dearly this year. Thanks so much for the reminder!
