BELINDA GROVER PHOTOGRAPHY

STOPS ALONG THE WAY

GET CRACKING

During this unusual winter, I thought I’d try my hand at doing some studio work. Here is my first eggample 😊. Learning how to use flash: diffusing, blocking, reflecting and positioning it is a steep learning curve but fun too. Stay tuned for more…

You are right … there is a lot to lighting. You did a great job here. I used to do studio work for stock photography and have been wanting to get back to it. I still have all my lights, umbrellas, soft box, backdrops but my loft above the garage is too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. I will have to time it just right!

Fun! I’ve tried this too in a simple way and got some nice images.

Looking good! It’s fun but challenging. I’m looking forward to seeing what you shoot, and grow.

I look forward to more. This photograph shows the texture of the eggshell well along the line between light and dark.

Cool shadowing, the exercise looks like a fun winter focus (pun)!

Nice Belinda! Studio photography is fun and the more you do the better the results. I did Commercial Studio work for over 50 years and was a very interesting and satisfying job to see what you could do for the final image and your client’s requests. Plus it is FUN to do!
