You’d think a duck’s feet would freeze standing on an icy pond. Unlike mammals, they regulate their bodies differently so that standing on an icy surface is almost like a walk in the park 😏

I’ve often puzzled about it and the same for all wild creatures in very cold or windy conditions.

I’ve often wondered how they can stand the cold like that. Same when you see cows standing in icy puddles in a pasture. My feet would fall off!

I don’t know how they do it. Maybe they don’t have much of a blood system in their feet so they don’t get as cold as we might.
