The robin persisted and found its prize in the grass, it appears to be a worm. I was surprised to see that the robin was molting. It seems they can also molt in the spring.
She (or he) got his (or her) worm! Lovely capture! Robins apparently molt all summer and have a completely new set good to go for the migration and/or winter.
Thank you, Lynette! Iโve seen cardinals looking a little ragged this time of year but never a Robin. He looked healthy though and had a good appetite ๐
