I was surprised at the fall-like colours of these leaves, colours I associate with September not April (when I took this). A plant I’ve never seen before.

The colors remind me of Quince but the pedals are different. The colors are fabulous.

Looks like a spirea, pretty and surprising, not the typical chartreuse of spring!

I tried to find this bush but no luck. The leaves could possibly be from last autumn but if that’s the case, they’ve done well! Maybe it starts with red leaves. It could be a Cotinus ‘Grace’ (smokebush) as they have red spring leaves. Here’s website: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cotinus_coggygria

Thank you very much for trying to identify this plant, Lynette! Its leaves were quite small and looked like new growth. I’ll have to keep an eye on it and see how it develops 😊
