    My vote goes to some influence from a white-fronted goose (anser albafrons), judging by the colour of the bill and the feet, and the bands of colour across the chest (and general features that are very similar to white fronts). Could be some messing around with a Canada or some other goose….

    I believe Burrdoo is correct you found a Ross’s Goose Blue-morph! I haven’t seen one in ages. Great sighting!

    Pretty sure it’s a Blue-morph Snow Goose, according to my National Geographic “Field Guide to the Birds of North America.”

    Wow. I think youโ€™re right, Belinda. He definitely looks like a Canada goose except for the odd colouring . Good photo of him.
