I often see female mallards taking a solitary swim, they must enjoy the quiet 😏 . I was fortunate that this one was swimming into nice reflections.

I love the ripples in the water, Belinda and how they surround the little mallard. Beautifully captured. I agree that the females do try to get off by themselves it seems.
