I took a walk in my neighbourhood and saw more evidence of spring. More birds chirping, crocus wearing their colours, tulips coming up and one brave daffodil in bloom (it’s still in the single digits celsius most mornings). Today’s flowers were taken around this time last year, so they are another nod to the season that’s slowly approaching.

I think that in this instance – given the monochromatic world of snow you must (I’m guessing of course) have lived through during winter – colour is the way to go when celebrating spring. We are entering autumn now …

A refreshing ode to spring, Belinda, and I really appreciate it knowing the chilly temperature. I love the first photo, delicate and intimate.

The detail is wonderful. In early spring it is easy to be impatient as we await each new sign of transformation. But the wait is worthwhile as your pictures show.
