These goslings got an early start to the new year this past spring, still following closely behind one of their parents. The young birds are stepping out to a new day, full of possibilities. What better way for 2018 to begin. Happy New Year everyone!

I’m glad they aren’t out there now with their downy coats and no feathers yet. Love that picture though. Reminds us that spring is coming one day soon. Very sweet birds. I hope they fattened up over the summer so they have a good bit of stamina to outlast this winter. Happy New Year, Belinda. I look forward to more of your lovely photos this year.

They do fill out quickly. A few weeks after I took this a flock of young geese came running at us as we turned a bend. We had to literally jump out of their way. Talk about startling
😏. I look forward to spring too! I appreciate your comments, look forward to more of your excellent posts and wish you and The Captain all the best for 2018!
