The geese posed nicely in front of the beaver lodge. I think it is abandoned as there is no evidence of fresh wood.

They have each other through the long dark nights. It would be a cold and scary experience, wouldn’t it? Where do birds go at night?

They often sleep in groups to keep safe and can even sleep with one eye open. Part of their brain remains alert to predators. Pretty extraordinary!
