    My favorite Woodpecker! Always reminds of Woody. Fortunate to have several of them living in our woods, although a bit startling when you get woken up by their morning chatter. Let’s hope this one didn’t annihilate that tree by itself ha.

    We actually had a couple appear several years ago as our cherry trees fell into decline (and were eventually removed). Actually didn’t mind them “working away” during their stay. Beautiful photo.
