
I like grackles although they have a poor reputation as bullies and agricultural pests. Despite that they’re attractive, intelligent birds that can be fun to watch as they strut around the grass. I look forward to their return in early spring.

That’s a great capture, Belinda. 😊 Yes, grackles don’t have a great reputation but they definitely cut quite the figure! We don’t have them here or at least I’ve never seen any. Possibly the eagles have driven them off.

A great photo Belinda, Grackles are in Las Vegas all year, I saw several today just walking to the bank! Such nice colors and they can be very loud too.

They are pretty in the sunlight. I saw one female last week so they should be arriving soon!!
