Ducktail that is. Male woods duck could have been the inspiration for the ’50s ducktail haircut. We saw our first wood duck pair at the lake last week, very exciting 😊

These are such beautiful ducks. I have them land in our pool often, even lay their eggs in my backyard. That’s not good though because the ducklings jump in our pool and can’t get out!

Aren’t they. When I first started in photography I saw a wood duck in a tree, and couldn’t believe it, not knowing that they build their nests in tree cavities 😊
