Canada Geese get a lot of mixed reviews. They’re often loud, messy and aggressive, not one of our more popular exports! But when you capture them, with a beautiful fall reflection as background, no complaints here. I hope the geese haven’t moved on yet given the cold snap we’ve had. We’re off to check on them this afternoon and hope to find a few holdouts.

The reflection gives the left one a stilt-legged look – “my, what long legs you have!” 😉

I’ve always loved them! Even when i’d be stunt kite flying with friends and stepping on the innumerable “goose-treasures,” getting the squishy stuff lodged under my shoes… i loved them!
Sweet shot! 🙂

We have them here on the local canal and ponds. They are very beautiful water birds, and I always enjoy seeing them.

I hadn’t realized their range was so large until I joined WordPress. I do like seeing them in flight and in the water. On the land not so much😏

You’ve got the Canada goose’s reputation pegged exactly right! And they do make great photo subjects.
