STOPS ALONG THE WAY

RED SQUIRREL (TWO PHOTOGRAPHS)

They are our smallest squirrels and yet the most assertive of the lot. It’s funny to see red squirrels chase the larger greys around the park. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re territorial or they just enjoy it. Maybe it’s a bit of both. This little guy was giving me the eye, I blinked first and moved along.

I absolutely love red squirrels. They are so full of life and fun. Where I walk at the Audubon, the “little reds” seem to delight in following me along the stone walls. What great company. I love the spirit you captured in the photos!

A marvelous combination of spunk and cuteness and well captured in your photos. I can see how it was that you blinked first ☺

They are adorable, but can be rather rascally. My sister has problems with them nesting in her attic, fiendishly hard to get rid of!

These are lovely, and it’s a cutie! I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a red squirrel or not.
