    We have them “splooting” on our deck railing. Nice capture of a black squirrel; a few are beginning to appear in our woods as well.

    I have never heard that word before! Thanks, Belinda. I’ve seen squirrels do that also but I didn’t realise they were splooting to cool themselves.
