STOPS ALONG THE WAY

IN THE MARSHLAND (THREE PHOTOGRAPHS)

White water lilies are more common on our waterways but I do like to see yellow pond lilies. Their colour is so striking and where they appear you usually see pickerel weeds as well. A frog would have added an extra touch of green, more to come…

Lovely images! Love pond photos! In my old home I had my own fairly large pond which was fun for photography.

Definitely the colour wins out on this one. Possibly because I’m so desperate for spring to come and I crave any colour that isn’t black, white, or gray like our skies have been for weeks. A peek of yellow, especially, looks so good right now.

I love the crisp details and brilliant colors in the first two photos, especially the one featuring the yellow water lilly. Well done!

And I love the giant leaves that cover the water around the lilies, with or without that frog! Nice captures, Belinda!

Nice images. Ellen tried this entire season to get a yellow lily. No luck. Hundreds of thousands of acres… maybe next year 😀
