Canada Goose

The Canada Goose might not be Canada’s favourite export. They’re noisy, messy birds, and can be aggressive to both people and other geese when they feel threatened. However, they are quite elegant when you catch them in a pose like this.

Makes me think of the story of Narcissus! 😉 Or maybe the evil queen, “Mirror, mirror…”

I love Canada Geese as they are and how they mate and raise their babies.
This is a very special photo of a Canada Goose! Love it so much!

They aren’t over-populated where I live in Colorado so people seem to like them a little better here. I like the B&W!

Very nice capture and treatment, Belinda. Their elegance in a pose like this allows me to overlook their darker side. I am thankful our home is not on any of the retention ponds around our neighborhood—their mess is defiantly not nice.

Ialways enjoy seeing these geese, and I have seen a few on the canal nearby. Nicely photographed!

As a kid, I stepped in goose droppings too many times. The dog ran most of them off though…

They are quite numerous in my part of the world and I consider them as a beautiful goose. I like the B&W version, it emphasizes the feather details very well.

I love seeing photographs of Canada Geese for they look so smart. In terms of their noise, messiness, aggression and so on I suspect they can be compared with our Egyptian Geese.

Much more interesting than the usual “standing alert on the lawn” look.
