I’ve seen bees this motionless early in the day when it’s cool. I took this photo mid morning so that wasn’t the cause. The bee looked to be in good condition, maybe it was just taking a break from collecting pollen.

A beautiful bee, nice capture… I’m hoping she was just resting, but also wondering if perhaps a crab spider may have her in its clutches from underneath? They hunt pollinators by hanging out in and around flowers.

Plants also have a mating period could be in the mourning , all a be has to do is land on it. polenation is what it is!?
