    Hi Belinda – I agree, this is a great action shot. Nature is indeed raw. It can be jarring to witness, but it’s just survival. Gulls are so aggressive, even when they are fighting for a soft pretzel on the boardwalk!

    I was watching birds chasing each other away from the feeders yesterday morning: they can be surprisingly aggressive, especially now when they are collecting food for their hatchlings.

    Don’t worry about it being a bit raw. We see this all the time. But we don’t always get a great photo of it like you did.
