We came across this fledgling on a recent walk in the park. The little bird looked dazed and confused. I assumed it was a very young red-winged blackbird because some adult birds were nearby and very raucous. We went on our way and hoped the chick was claimed when we left.

Groucho Marks, eat your heart out. It just needs a stogie (or worm) coming out of that set jaw!

They are so vulnerable to dangers at this stage. I hope he makes it.

Quite something, eh ๐. Adult birds were close by so I certainly hope it was.

Oh, dear, what a face! A little early to be out of the nest, I would think. ๐ Great capture, Belinda!

This little one definitely does look confused – maybe just having left the nest? Great pictures of this little one.
