This is the second silver-spotted skipper I’ve seen recently. When I did get a clear shot, it was flying off but did display some of the silver that it’s known for.
I love these skippers, there always seems to be one that holds court on our deck railing every summer, and he is very territorial… even chases hummingbirds, lol!

I always look for him and his morning acrobatics. I’ve not very good at sneaking up on butterflies, so rarely attempt a photo. 😉
