We had noticed a snapping turtle close by and hoped the young wood duck would veer off before the turtle got too close. Fortunately she did.

I have this music score pulsating through my head of the unseen danger, reminiscent of a movie about unseen danger lurking below the surface of the water I remember from the 70’s or 80’s. 🤔😳
