Filling his belly too! 🙂 Right now, my squirrels are hiding nuts everywhere, I had my bluebird box open after cleaning it out the other day and just found a nut laying in it, lol.

Fortifying itself for the work of gathering no doubt. I miss seeing squirrels with bushy tails. The ground squirrels here have long straight hairy ones. I think they’ve gone into hibernation mode already because I haven’t seen any for about a week now. We’re down to the low 30’s every night now after the cold snap that took us down to the 20’s for several days.

That is cold. Our squirrels don’t hibernate but build nice warm nests and lay in a good supply of food.
