As Anneli noted, an unusual pairing, but then again, I’ve seen Canada geese be quite tolerant of coots and ducks, too. I saw a flock of Canada geese landing this afternoon and was reminded of your recent photo of two of them in the act of landing. Lovely photo (that one and today’s). 😊

All is melting as it is just above freezing. Tomorrow is forecast to be 58F with 1.5″ of rain!

Seems to be more parklike there, and they don’t seem to fear people as much as they do out in the wilder parts of the land.

I took this in a local reserve. The occasional hawk and snapping turtle but generally pretty tame.
