We see red squirrels quite often in the woods usually giving chase to the larger eastern gray squirrels.

I haven’t seen red squirrels in Michigan or down here in Florida, they are gray. 🥰

I’ve never seen one of these, but I love their little ear tufts. I have an antique copper mold that has the image of one embossed on it. It amused me to read that these give chase to the ‘larger’ eastern grays. Here, the eastern grays are the small ones, and they give chase to the larger fox squirrels.

They’re quite territorial and quick to chase away interlopers 😏. I’ve never seen a fox squirrel.
